Coolsville is about a world were being a
superhero is an occupation, complete with
crappy benefits, co-workers you can't stand,
office romances that blow up in your face, and
other people taking credit and getting
promotions for your hard work. Think of
it as a regular job where you get to wear tights
and fight super villains.
Devon Cole is an average guy struggling to find his
way through the train wreck that he has made of his
life. Devon and his wise-cracking best friend, Kansas,
a talking bulldog that only Devon can hear, are
looking for a better life. All of his bills are passed due,
his social life is in the toilet, and Kansas constantly
gives him crap for never dating a woman with a pretty
white puddle. But then Devon lands a great job that
could change everything. He becomes HERO CORP's
newest equal opportunity hire for its Minority
Superhero Division. As he dreams of all the fame and
cash of being a celebrity, he quickly learns that being
a super hero is not all its cracked up to be.
Hired over seemingly more qualified applicants, Devin
Cole, sets out to prove himself. It's a struggle from the
beginning as he deals with office politics, union dues,
his psycho girlfriends, most importantly, the fear of
unemployment.
